AAN DE OVERKANT – SHORT FILM

In the new housing estate IJburg in Amsterdam, two washed out young parents each struggle with their own problems. She is fed up with only being a mother; he is working like mad for the mortgage while he would like to set up his own business. The birthday party at the new opposite neighbours seems a welcome distraction, although he does not really feel like it. When they do go, it turns out they are the only guests. To make matters worse, the tension between the host and hostess is rising high.
